Validating Arctic Wolf’s Incredible Voyage

Share :

One of my favorite books is “Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage” by Alfred Lansing.

I encourage you to read it if you haven’t. Here is a brief synopsis of the true-to-life story:

In August 1914, polar explorer Ernest Shackleton boarded his ship, the Endurance, and set sail for Antarctica, where he planned to cross the last uncharted continent on foot. As part of the voyage, Shackleton and his 27-person crew attempted a near-impossible journey over 850 miles of the South Atlantic’s heaviest seas.

Earlier this year at our company’s annual kick-off, I compared Arctic Wolf’s journey to Shackleton’s. Now, it’s obvious that the team at Arctic Wolf doesn’t face life-or-death survival experiences in sub-zero conditions (although a large portion of our team is based in Minnesota and Canada), but we are still undertaking an incredible voyage as we disrupt the cybersecurity industry with our unique approach to security operations.

One of Ernest Shackleton’s most well-known quotes is “Superhuman effort isn’t worth a damn unless it achieves results,” and over the past few months as our team has performed with a superhuman effort to scale our business, we are fortunate that our approach has been validated by numerous trusted sources. Some of my personal favorites include:

Ranking 159th in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500

Being named to the list for the third-consecutive year underscores Arctic Wolf’s continued commitment to delivering cloud-native security operations at scale. Only a handful of security vendors on the 2021 list have been included for three or more years, and being in the top-third of the list once again demonstrates Arctic Wolf’s ability to achieve durable growth as a business.

Winning the Data Security Award at the 2021 Minnesota Tekne Awards

The Tekne Awards recognize Minnesota-based organizations that create and support science and technology innovation within the state. So, we are proud to win the data security award in the first full year we called the state home. Since relocating Arctic Wolf’s headquarters to Eden Prairie in October 2020, we’ve helped create over 250 high-tech jobs in Minnesota and are now responsible for protecting the data of over 100,000 users in the state.

Being Named a Partner of the Year Finalist by CDW

Last week at CDW’s Partner Summit, Arctic Wolf was named a finalist for the Partner of the Year award. This award recognizes CDW’s top-performing partners that provide exemplary support of CDW teams, which ultimately enable industry-leading solutions for customers. CDW has over 1,800 partners, so to be named a finalist in only our second year working together is an amazing testament to the value Arctic Wolf provides to our partner community.

Recognition as the Legal Industry’s Leading Security Provider

The legal community has always been a big supporter of Arctic Wolf, so we’re always eager to read the International Legal Technology Association’s (ILTA) annual technology survey. While the full 2021 results aren’t yet released, ILTA did publish an executive summary of the findings. The key takeaway? “The number of firms using a Managed Security Service provider is rising, now at 66%. Again, there are lots of providers in this space, the largest is Arctic Wolf at 10%.”

Continued Validation from the Analyst Community

As the analyst community continues to define and evaluate elements of the security operations market, Arctic Wolf is accelerating its number of appearances in independent third-party research. Some recent highlights include:

The above results are all thanks to tremendous support and hard work of Arctic Wolf employees, partners, and customers so far this year. Although the holiday season is starting to begin, we have no intention of taking our foot off the gas pedal.

The bold investments we made this year in new markets, new verticals, and new solutions, which include the recent launch of the Arctic Wolf Security Operations Cloud and Arctic Wolf Managed Security Awareness, will only continue. Shackleton himself said it best, “the only true failure would be not to explore at all.”
