The Growing Danger of Ransomware
You might be wondering, “Is ransomware still an issue?”
Unfortunately, it absolutely is.
Not only is ransomware occurring in greater frequency, but the stakes have never been higher.
“There will be a ransomware attack on businesses every 14 seconds by the end of 2019, and every 11 seconds by 2021.”
Editor-in-Chief, Cybercrime Magazine
That’s a frightening statistic, one law enforcement is fully aware of.
In October of 2019, the FBI released a warning: prepare for increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks, or risk losing business-critical data permanently. This was in response to recent ransomware attacks halting business operations, disrupting emergency services, and forcing the closures of schools, hospitals, and government entities.
This means that when it comes to ransomware, every organization is at risk, posing a difficult question for victims: pay up to the demands of the hackers or lose their data (and possibly, their reputation) for good.
To help provide you with more information on ransomware and how to effectively fight back, we’ve put together an in-depth webinar on December 4 at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PST.
