The Aurora Endpoint Security Difference: Ushering in a New Dawn for Cybersecurity

6 min read

Today, Arctic Wolf successfully completed the acquisition of BlackBerry’s Cylance endpoint security assets. With this acquisition, we are thrilled to welcome hundreds of new partners and thousands of customers to The Pack. Additionally, we are excited to welcome almost 400 new employees who will join Arctic Wolf offices around the globe.

The addition of the Cylance portfolio and team marks a pivotal moment in Arctic Wolf’s journey to redefine cybersecurity. Cylance’s groundbreaking innovations in AI and machine learning will enhance our already industry-leading security operations platform, enabling us to stay ahead of sophisticated threats and deliver even greater value to our customers by preventing attacks. This powerful combination accelerates our vision, empowering organizations to secure their environments with unparalleled precision, speed, and adaptability.

With 95% of the investigations conducted by our security operations center (SOC) including telemetry from endpoints, entering the endpoint security market was a logical next step for Arctic Wolf, and Cylance proved to be the perfect match for us to achieve our mission of ending cyber risk. Arctic Wolf will integrate the Cylance portfolio into our own offerings and bring it to market as Aurora Endpoint Security. While the name will change, the same trusted protection that has delighted Cylance customers and earned back-to-back Customers’ Choice recognition for endpoint protection platforms (EPP) by Gartner® Peer Insights™ will remain.

With Aurora Endpoint Security, Arctic Wolf will become the first cybersecurity platform to approach the endpoint security market from a Security Operations perspective. This approach allows us to offer deep and differentiated integration of Aurora Endpoint Security into our Aurora Platform, enabling us to deliver world-class protection at an unmatched price-to-performance ratio. At the same time, we recognize the importance of providing our customers and partners with the freedom to choose the tools they use, which is why we remain committed to supporting—and expanding—our existing integrations via our Open XDR platform, including those with over 15 endpoint security vendors.

This acquisition is not just about expanding our capabilities—it’s about redefining what’s possible in cybersecurity. With Aurora Endpoint Security, Arctic Wolf is taking a bold step forward to deliver operationalized endpoint security that meets the evolving needs of our customers and partners. But this is just the beginning. Our commitment to customers and partners is to ensure that they finally have a full-scale solution that:

  • Unifies Security Operations with a truly open platform
  • Enhances threat protection with a state-of-the-art endpoint security
  • Ensures the outcome with our Concierge experience and Security Journey programs

To learn more about how we will do this, we’re excited to invite our partner, customer and prospect community to the Aurora World Tour, which over the coming weeks will make stops in 23 cities across 10 countries. At these events, Arctic Wolf executives and sales engineering leaders will provide exclusive briefings and technical workshops designed to showcase the Aurora Platform’s vision and strategy, highlight the innovative integration of Aurora Endpoint Security, and explore strategic opportunities to drive business growth together.

For those unable to attend the Aurora World Tour, don’t worry—we’ll be sharing key insights and updates in the coming weeks and months. As we continue to build on this foundation, we’ll unveil exciting new innovations and set fresh standards for interoperability, innovation, and customer-driven excellence. Stay tuned for more details, I can’t wait to show you what’s ahead!
