The Arctic Wolf Partner of the Year Awards highlight our trusted partners who have played critical roles in strengthening our shared mission to end cyber risk. This year, we’re honored to bring in key players from our cyber insurance channel and recognize SET SEG — a nonprofit company that provides workers’ compensation and property/casualty services for Michigan public schools — as our first official Broker Partner of the Year.
Insurance brokers are a vital resource for organizations on their cybersecurity journey. As we’ve seen in our incident response work, cyber attacks can have devastating consequences on school systems due to their often-limited cyber resources and their high volumes of student data. Pair that with a pandemic, a shift to online and hybrid learning models, and more sophisticated phishing campaigns from large ransomware groups — schools are often left in a vulnerable position.
As the first brokerage to partner with Arctic Wolf, SET SEG leveraged our Cyber JumpStart portal to provide their schools with a complimentary suite of cyber risk management tools. To address the problems that leave schools vulnerable, SET SEG partnered with Arctic Wolf to provide their members access to a tool that can identify gaps in their overall security posture, provide actionable guidance on how to harden cyber defenses, and improve cyber insurability.

As part of their cyber insurance offering SET SEG members can benefit from Arctic Wolf’s security operations technology — schools can now scan for any weak spots in their network before bad actors can exploit them, thoughtfully complete an incident response (IR) plan built by our IR team members, and complete security project guides to close their security gaps and stay qualified for favorable insurance terms.
