A Word Regarding the SolarWinds Cyberattack

insights-icon-blk-blue.png

As you probably know, a highly sophisticated supply chain attack occurred recently, which leveraged the SolarWinds Orion network monitoring platform as an entry vector. For now, as many as 18,000 organizations may have been affected by this compromise, with new information coming to light every day. Due to this developing story, Arctic Wolf would like to briefly explain what took place and reassure our customers that our security experts are actively engaged in monitoring and managing this situation successfully.

Security News:

The Top Cyberattacks of January 2021

The year is still young, but the digital landscape of 2021 is already littered with bad behavior.

Continuing a 2020 trend, opportunistic hackers and data thieves are taking full advantage of the pandemic’s dynamics and the shift to remote work. With more of our everyday functions moving online than ever before, cybercriminals now run rampant across businesses, schools, and social media platforms. Last year ended with what was potentially the biggest hack ever perpetrated against the U.S. government—and, so far this year, hacking exploits show no signs of slowing down.

Operational Updates

Cloud Security Posture Management: GCP Support

Arctic Wolf is pleased to announce our new Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) for Google Cloud Platform offering

Our CSPM offering delivers a continuous process of cloud configuration monitoring and adaptation to reduce your cloud cyber risk. We now support this defense for Google Cloud Platform in addition to Microsoft Azure and AWS, which we previously released. Cloud environments are scanned against a broad set of generally accepted cloud configuration benchmarks to provide cloud inventory reporting, cloud environment benchmarking, and posture hardening recommendations for GCP. You can learn more about our CSPM capability from our whitepaper or reach out to your Arctic Wolf Customer Success team about implementing this solution.

Managed Cloud Monitoring: AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations Support

Arctic Wolf’s AWS capabilities now include support for AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations

Control Tower and Organizations are AWS offerings that help organizations manage and govern multi-account AWS environments, and we can now integrate with your Control Tower or Organizations for streamlined data ingestion and detection across your AWS environment. Please reach out to your Concierge Security® Team with any questions about implementing this new integration, or your Arctic Wolf Customer Success team to add detection and response for your AWS environments.
